What the NGA ILA Program is.
NexGen Alliance operates a supportive, same-gender shared-housing setting where youth practice the skills of adult life with structure, coaching, and around-the-clock case management behind them.
Every placement is anchored to an Individualized Service Plan with measurable life-skills goals, reviewed every 90 days and coordinated with the placing agency.

ILA Placement Support
Fully furnished housing, supervision, oversight, household setup, internet, and program infrastructure at the approved ILA setting. We provide the stable, safe environment where independence can be practiced day to day.
Employment Support
Job readiness training, resume building, interview preparation, and connections to local employers and internships that line up with each youth's skills and career goals.
Education Support
Help finishing high school or earning a GED, pursuing higher education, enrolling in vocational programs, and navigating college applications, financial aid, and scholarships.
Independent Living Skills
Individualized coaching in budgeting, credit, cooking, hygiene, decision-making, and personal safety. Savings are encouraged monthly, with at least 10% of each youth's stipend placed into their savings account.
Mental Health Support
Trauma-informed care and connections to counseling, psychiatric services, and medication management. Support for emotional well-being alongside every other part of the launch.
Case Management
Weekly face-to-face visits, daily check-ins, a written service plan, 90-day and annual reviews, and close coordination with the placing agency to keep everyone aligned on progress.
Transportation
Rides to work, school, appointments, and court dates. Guidance on public transit and support toward securing personal transportation when the time is right.
Mentorship
Adult mentors matched with youth for consistent, caring guidance. Ongoing relationships that continue beyond program discharge.

Structure
Predictable routines, clear expectations, and a written participation agreement signed at admission.
Skill-building
Every interaction is a teaching moment tied to the youth's service plan and transition goals.
Safety
24/7 on-call caseworker, written personal emergency plan, and rigorous behavior-support standards.
Self-determination
Youth-led service planning, normalcy, and decision-making opportunities at every step.
Accountability
90-day service-plan reviews, monthly visit notes, and outcome tracking to discharge.
From referral to first night at the ILA.
Referral Received
The placing agency submits a referral packet to the NGA Program Director for review.
Intake & Match
We review eligibility and confirm the ILA is an appropriate match.
Placement Agreement
Youth, guardian (if under 18), placing agency, and NGA sign the Participation Agreement.
Move-In & Orientation
Day-of orientation, emergency-plan walkthrough, and a tour of the setting.
